new baby

we are proud new parents of a smart, sweet, feisty, itty bitty furbaby!

little cosworth ("cosi") will be flying home with mommy on saturday to his new snowy home. in the meantime, there is a lot of playing and sleeping to do!

more snow day!!

it's nice and icy and snowy outside. it's like a cold sugary crust of happy sealing us in our cozy house to have a fun, relaxing day of cuddling and straightening up and watching stuff on the DVR like numb3rs, and playing rockband, and napping, and having some bronx bagels and coffee, and making crabcakes and salad for dinner so we don't have to go out, and sitting together reading quietly as the sky turns night...

i love weekends at home with my brz.

snow in new england?

oh my god, it's december in new england and it's snowing. they've been touting this storm all week. you had time to buy a pallet of bread and 40 gallons of milk at costco...but somehow, it came as a real surprise when you left work "early" at 4 and sat in traffic for 6 hours because everyone was freaking out about this strange white matter falling from the sky.

oh the humanity!

stay the fuck home, learn to drive or move to florida. and stop whining. i'm not impressed by your war stories.

did i mention we're awesome?

after putting in a solid 7 hours of band practice today, i'd like to announce that 'put on your pants and come over,' with sabominatrix on the vocals, longshot on the guitar and kilo zebra rockin the drums, have been ranked in the mid-300's for their rendition of faith no more's "epic." out of tens and possibly hundreds of thousands of other bands. most of which are probably 11 year old kids with no jobs, but still.

we've achieved something here today. and that, ladies and gentlemen, is pride.

my life has new purpose. we're gettin the band back together!

"as of late"

15 hour days. bleary-eyed, staring into the laptop at home. 9 am meetings. making tables. searching pubmed. reading 117 journal articles. tracking changes. updating endnote libraries. checking references. 8 pm meetings. making tables. going to class. beer. guitar hero. beer.
